GLDT is a tokenized gold ecosystem that enables users to instantly own digital representations of Swiss-vaulted physical gold, backed 1:1 by audited gold bars with full transparency and no storage fees. Through its GLD NFTs, which represent direct ownership of physical gold, and the GLDT token, which fractionalizes this ownership into 0.01g units, the project bridges real-world gold with blockchain functionality. Users can swap GLD NFTs into GLDT at a fixed ratio of 1 gram to 100 GLDT, stake their GLDT to earn more than 3% APY, redeem tokens for physical gold at any time, and utilize the asset across DeFi platforms with ultra-low transaction costs. The ecosystem is enhanced by complete insurance, regular audit reports, and an integrated marketplace through the ORIGYN Protocol, allowing buying, selling, and trading of gold-backed assets. Alongside GLDT, the ecosystem includes a USD-pegged stablecoin (USDG) backed by gold and governed by the GOLDAO token, which empowers community-driven protocol decisions and maintains a deflationary token model through fees and burns. Overall, GLDT unlocks the utility of physical gold in the digital economy while preserving the security, transparency, and intrinsic value of the underlying asset.
