Codatta is an open, decentralized, and multi-chain protocol that unites blockchain-based data infrastructure with a collaborative network of human contributors and specialized AI agents. It functions as a Knowledge Layer for AI, ensuring transparent traceability of knowledge data quality, contributor responsibility, and fair distribution of rewards. The ecosystem introduces distinct roles, including Knowledge Providers (KP) who supply structured knowledge with reasoning and domain expertise, Knowledge Verifiers (KV) who review and validate the information for accuracy and trustworthiness, and Knowledge Backers (KB) who stake capital on knowledge assets to potentially earn returns from their future impact. Through verification, majority voting, and optional staking-as-confidence mechanisms co-developed with EigenLayer, the protocol guarantees high-quality, reliable knowledge contributions. Codatta also supports collective ownership, where contributions from providers, verifiers, and backers are bundled into shared assets, allowing proportional rewards as AI systems trained on them generate value. By transforming raw knowledge into data assets through assetization, Codatta ensures traceability, usability, and privacy protection while enabling efficient trading in decentralized data markets.
