Hop Protocol is a scalable token bridge designed to facilitate nearly instantaneous transfers between rollups and sidechains, bypassing the lengthy challenge periods of these networks. It achieves this through market makers, known as Bonders, who provide liquidity at the destination chain for a small fee, enabling seamless token transfers. Additionally, Hop supports liquidity provision through AMMs on each supported chain, allowing liquidity providers to earn rewards and fees, and includes a governance incentivization trial to engage HOP token-holders in active governance participation.
