Overview

RAILGUN is a fully decentralized smart contract system that delivers on-chain privacy and security to cryptocurrency and DeFi users through Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZK-SNARK) technology. It enables users to conduct transactions and interact with decentralized applications (dApps) without exposing their wallet addresses, ensuring complete anonymity while maintaining compatibility with existing DeFi ecosystems. Unlike privacy solutions that depend on external bridges or Layer-2 infrastructures, RAILGUN operates natively on the Ethereum mainnet and other networks such as Polygon, BSC, and Arbitrum, eliminating intermediary risks. Users can shield ERC-20 tokens or NFTs into private 0zk addresses, where all balances and transactions are encrypted, allowing for secure and private transfers, swaps, lending, and earnings. The system integrates user compliance tools such as Viewing Keys, Private Proofs of Innocence, and Tax Integrations, enabling transparency with regulators and auditors without compromising privacy. As an open-source initiative governed by the RAILGUN DAO, the project supports developers through SDKs like RAILGUN Wallet SDK, RAILGUN Connect, QuickSync, and RAILGUN Cookbook, facilitating the integration of privacy features into wallets and dApps.
